We are currently taking the following steps to limit the transmission of Covid-19:
- All surfaces that are touched by clients and staff are regularly disinfected including, door handles and push plates, coffee station, piano keys, headphones and personal mixers, guitar amps, drum hardware and vocal mics and pop filters.
- MERV-13 filters have been installed in all rooms that share air through the HVAC system.
- Aside from BOS staff, sessions are currently limited to 8 total persons including photographers, videographers, producers, support staff, etc.
- Any staff member showing symptoms or that has knowingly been exposed to the COVID-19 virus will not be attending sessions.
- We are asking that anyone booked for a recording session that has been exposed to the virus or are exhibiting symptoms to please notify us so that we may reschedule the session.
- We are particularly concerned with airflow so we and only allowing one person to occupy an iso room at a time. And the live room is currently limited to four people max with gobos and minimum 6’ distance between performance stations.
- The control room is now limited to three occupants allowing for the engineer, assistant and one other authorized person such as a producer, band leader etc. Non BOS staff must remain at the couch if they are in the control room.
- To make sure everyone is happy with the recording, we are allowing each member of the group to briefly check their sound in the control room before we start recording takes, otherwise listening back to takes will be done in place.
- We are no longer allowing meals to be consumed in the lounge. Instead, there are outdoor eating areas in the courtyards in the building complex that are quick and easy to find. Snacks can be set out in the lounge for people to consume.
- Everyone entering the studio is required to wear a face mask. We do not require the masks to be worn during a performance but they must be worn to leave the performance station.
- Videogpaphers may not roam freely during the session, they are not permitted in the iso rooms during takes, and must stay in a pre-designated area in the live room during takes. Videographers are permitted in the control room only briefly but not during takes.
